!i! First Time at the Fair !i!

I have never been to the fair before so I thought it would be fun to go! I had heard such great things about the fair! The way people described it made me feel that I was missing out on such an amazing experience!


So we bought tickets and I went to the fair for my very first time! And here's how I'd describe it: the fair is like a zoo for farm animals. People oooh and ahhh over animals that we pass on the side of the road while driving up to Idaho.


We didn't eat anything fried...although that would have been fun. And we didn't ride any of the rides. There's something unsettling about going for a joy ride on something that can be disassembled at the end of the day. But it was fun to spend time with my hubby! And..............


Watching the piglets race for an Oreo cookie was the highlight of my weekend!!!!

!i! He's Going The Distance !i!

Reluctantly crouched at the starting line

Engines pumping and thumping in time.

The green light flashes, the flags go up.
Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.

They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank,
Fuel burning fast on an empty tank.

Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns.
Their prowess is potent and secretly stearn.

As they speed through the finish, the flags go down.
The fans get up and they get out of town.

The arena is empty except for one man,
Still driving and striving as fast as he can.

He's going the distance.
He's going for speed.

Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse,
He's going the distance.

!i! Date Night !i!

AJ and I are two of the most indecisive people you will ever meet! That is no understatement. What should we eat? What should we do? What should we buy? However, by far the hardest decision: what to do for date night! It reminds me of those cartoon birds that say 'what do you want to do?' 'I dunno...what do you want to do?' 'I dunno...what do you want to do?' And eventually we end up doing the same old thing: eating at Chili's and renting a movie.

Well...not this night! I thought it would be fun to go the the aquarium. I haven't been there since they were at the Gateway when they had about 6 fish and 1 sting ray. I was told that they had added a lot of new critters! We ended up going on a double date with my sister and her husband! It was so much fun!!!



...And after we saw the sea creatures...we ate them too!!
