!i! Zoo Lights !i!

AJ and I decided we wanted to go see the lights last week so we decided to try Zoo Lights. Neither one of us had been so we didn't know what we were in for. It was very cold and drizzling snow, but that didn't spoil our adventure.
As soon as we arrived, we saw two of Santa's reindeer in a little fence. I wondered why the reindeer were fenced in because clearly, they could easily fly out.

We wandered around the zoo looking at all the lights. I expected a bunch of Christmas lights, but I didn't expect that they would be in the shape of animals. We saw so many fun things. Remember that lion water fountain? Well here it is...in lights!
Most of the animals were asleep, but we saw them in lights.
It was so cold, AJ had to warm up his hands on MUSHU!
Either I grew, or these giraffes are not proportionate to scale.

...and my personal favorite:
THE SEA TURTLES!
We visited the cat house where the tigers were actually awake! One came close to the window and took a long drink from the pond they have there. I didn't realize how big the tigers actually were until I saw it up close. Their heads alone are huge!

Some of the animal lights were realistic...
And some of them were just fun.
And some of them were just plain funny. This was A.J.'s favorite. It was a sequence of a bear chasing a skunk. In the end...the skunk wins.
We visited a few exhibits where there were some late night party animals.
I don't quite know what this fella was, but he was having fun doing tricks and flips in his habitat.
And of course, this little guy had to be awake to begin his shift of delivering mail...what with all the Christmas cards and all.
But I believe the most important light exhibit of all was this:
...enough said.
After we left the zoo, we stopped at Starbucks to get Salted Caramel hot chocolate to warm up.
