!i! Autumn Leaves and Cattle !i!
Due to the events of the previous weekend, we decided to celebrate our anniversary the following weekend. We drove up emigration canyon and looked at the changing leaves. While up there, we met a couple that was us in 30 yrs (give or take a British accent)!
This group of couples get out of the car and offer to take our picture (above). The husband takes our picture and then his wife in her British accent asks "Did you get any of the trees in the picture?" Keep in mind, we are standing in front of about 50 billion trees. The husband says sarcastically "Oh no! I missed all the trees." A.J. and I cracked up laughing because that's the exact sort of thing we would have said to each other.
We took a picture for them and then continued on our way. We ate dinner at Ruth's Diner and caught a pretty awesome sunset on our way out of the canyon.
The next day, we drove up to Kamas and ate at our favorite little sandwich shop: The cutting board. This is such a small town, there is a business next door called "Videos and Tanning." Now that is a multi-tasking entrepreneur!
We ate our lunch and then continued up the canyon called Samak (for those of you who don't know, this canyon was brilliantly named Kamas backwards). There is a nudist ranch up there, but luckily nobody was out and about.
We passed a sign that said "open cattle range." They sure weren't kidding. Out of front windshield, we saw this:
...and she was not planning on moving anytime soon. We had to carefully and slowly drive around her and continued on our way. We stumbled upon Provo River Falls. Provo River Falls is a cascading waterfall of the Provo river and it was beautiful up there!
We turned around and headed for home taking numerous pictures of all the changing leaves on our way.

You guys need to take us to the canyon with you! Beautiful pictures!
As for the "british" accents...they were probably faking them. I can see you and AJ doing the same thing :).
As for Ruth's diner...DELICIOUS! Did you get the pudding?
As for the cow...you should have just rammed it with your car, loaded it in the trunk, and then taken it to your local butcher shop for some nice steaks. Who cares about the damage to your car? You'd have a freezer full of delicious beef!
Hahahahaha :)
Oh...and did I tell you Tim and I have joined that nudist ranch? Clothes are for weirdos! :)
Yes! Come with us next time...we'll eat pudding at Ruth's. And no, we did not hit the cow because it belongs to somebody and I believe that would be illegal. :)
As far as British accent, I would never be able to pull it off. A.J. can tell you that I will start out trying to do an accent and it always turns into an Indian accent. ALWAYS!
And I don't know what to say about the nudist ranch... :)
